The problem with “everyone is a designer.”

If everyone’s a designer, that means everyone is accountable when the design sucks. No? The thing that the inclusionistas always fail to note is specific accountability. I agree that influences can come from anyone and anywhere but all things being equal (If there’s no exec driving uninformed design by proxy) those influences are filtered by someone experienced in the discipline(s) of Design and their ass, not everyone’s, is on the hook if it’s done poorly.
