When I quit Narcity, this is the video that some of my colleagues sent me. To be honest, it’s not easy to leave a place you consider your second home.Colleagues with whom you literally shed sweat, blood and yes, real tears with.

See on my linkedin post: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6443591663607652352

Leaving talented people who, had the right passion, the unstoppable drive to get any skill and wear any hat necessary to get the job done.

Seemed easy at times: all we had to do is allow them to grow like plants and trust them with their projects.

Their following grew, their influence grew and so did our bond.

Even if sometimes they were pushed outside their comfort zone, or stayed after-after-hours just to get stuff done and then came in before the city woke up.

#HumanResource -wise, we sucked.

Rapid growth does leave stretch marks sometimes.

Worth it.

Yeah, sadly some of them, left not long after.

This was the place where I learned to make the difference between true value and percieved value, as well as how it's important to share similar values in a company. If you can have that, your bond is sometimes stronger than family.

If there is someone's leadership you really appreciate, don't underestimate the power of sharing this video with them.

Cheers,

P.S. If you don't have me on linkedin, I'll send the video if you ask for it :)
