Any businessman wants to know what to do in order to get the best results. In other words, everyone would like to master marketing, but the curious thing is that the absolute majority of people possess the practical marketing skills without even knowing it. Indeed, many of the so-called “secrets of successful sales” are surely well known to you, but since some of them are so ordinary, you do not give them the proper value. However, it is their application that makes up 90% of the success of your marketing efforts. These are some of the secrets:

1. Promote your products and services to customers in the way that you would like others to do it for you.

Correct marketing information must meet three criteria: to be honest, respectful and to provide useful information. Outline the benefits of your products or services in an interesting and attractive form for customers. Honestly, without exaggeration, explain what benefits they will get if they will use your services or will buy the goods you produce.

2. Simplicity and understandability of presentation are two pillars of successful marketing.

Do not overload your marketing information with unnecessary or complex technical terms, unless, of course, your business is connected with the newest technologies. It is very important to try to maintain clarity of presentation both in print brochures and in direct communication with the client.

3. Real cases is the engine of your sales.

The power of real cases, which you tell customers, is that with their help you not only can pass the necessary information about a product or service, but also affect the emotions of a potential client. The example of your real client, who, after completing your coach training, was able to increase his income so much that he bought a car, will tell your new client more than a dry statement of the fact that the same client increased his income by 17%.

4. Prepare additional information for those who are interested in your business.

People, for the most part, are subject to doubts and skepticism. They want to make sure that your promises are not just words or a marketing ploy. Therefore, provide them with additional information about yourself that would include, depending on the type of your business, samples of finished products, feedback from regular customers about the services you provided, photos, commercial success stories — everything that confirms the quality and effectiveness of your goods or services, anything that will help gain the trust of a potential client.

5. Do not let the audience get bored at the presentation.

When arranging a presentation, try to maintain a dynamic pace and make it interesting for the listeners. This does not mean you have to arrange a whole show, but try to spruce it up with some comedy or attractive visuals. Dilute the dry information with cases that are relevant to the subject from your experience, use charts and graphs to better visualize the material.

6. Friendly insistence or development of a manifested interest.

The purpose of advertising brochures is to make yourself known to potential customers. Some entrepreneurs are afraid of being perceived as insufferable or intrusive, so they refuse to develop the interest of potential customers, thus losing the opportunity to turn them into actual ones. Nevertheless, if someone is interested in your proposal, albeit to an insignificant degree — it will be reasonable to support this interest, reminding about yourself after some time.

7. Keep in touch with your customers.

If you feel awkward, reminding others about yourself, then, most likely, because of daily worries, customers will forget about you. Email and social networks help to support permanent connection. They will remind your customers that you continue to stay on the market of goods and services.

8. Avoid aggressive attempts to sell in any way.

Did you ever sign up for a newsletter or register for a webinar, and then be bombarded daily by letters, with the offer to purchase “the most wonderful product in the history of mankind”? Most of us do not like marketing like this, do we? Remember this in those moments when it comes to demonstrating the benefits of your product or service, do it unobtrusively, with dignity and style.

9. When buying, no one likes to feel pressure, on the contrary, everyone wants to be heard.

When we hear about sales, an energetic seller of used cars often comes to mind. But this stereotype has nothing to do with real marketing. The art of sales is, first of all, in determining the desires of potential buyers, and secondly, in determining whether your proposal matches their wishes. Thus, 75% of the time allotted for sale is the time taken just to listening to the customer.

10. Do not hesitate to ask for what you need.

Do you want the target market to know about your business? Do you want to convey to the customers all the benefits that they will receive by cooperating with you? Do you want them to turn from potential to real customers? To achieve all this, you must first ask. Therefore, any of your advertising brochures should necessarily include a “call to action” at the end. For example: “If you want more information, please fill in this voucher”. In this simple way, you increase your chances of success.
