What are we waiting for?

“It’s not okay to be unhappy.” – Principal Monte

“Every kid says mean things to their parents. You can’t be afraid to speak up, we all mess up even. I get it, we’re all the same. Every foster kid think we’re not allowed to say what we need or to stand up for ourselves. But we have to.” – Callie

“We foster kids have no control of our own lives and it’s our time to speak up and we start calling people out by name. That is the only way that things will change. And we cannot be afraid. And that is why I’m telling my story and I really hope that you’ll tell yours.” – Callie

We need to do something for so many issues in our world. The list is bigger than it should. It shouldn’t exist at all. But we can’t change what has already happened. Only change the future in the present. We need to take part in ones that we are either passionate for or believe we are one of those who have knowledge and more to help contribute to fixing these issues to create a better world for all of society. Because the world deserves that and so much more.

“When you educate a girl, it transforms her world. Our world.”

Revolution: A Movement

We need to stand up for ourselves. We need to stand up for those who don’t have a voice. We need to give others their voices back when their voice was taken away. We all have equal human rights and we need to make sure we are all getting them equally with nothing less.

“You can’t be afraid to speak up.” – Callie
