The swing blue was almost 300 votes in ward 1_4 and close to 200 votes in wards 4_2, 3_1, 1_1.
Turnout
Ward 2 came out to vote. Increased turnout in ward 2.1 was likely critical to the election result
Results of the Election
Lucas/Oliver were elected
Barash/Ranalli and Micley lost the election
Barash and Ranalli received most votes in newton center (ward 6_4) newton highlands (? I think, ward 6_3) and ward 2 (south of the mass pike)
Barash did well in ward 7
This was in opposition to the hearsay that newton center and chestnut hill went for Lucas/Oliver.
The pattern of voting for Barash/Ranalli was similar
Micley got votes in Ward 7 and 8
