Something like that. We already built a browser plugin in 2012 though, and I don’t believe that approach can work. People are plugin-resistant at the best of times, and a plugin to critique everything you read is especially unappealing to 99% of the population. Opt-in basically won’t work. It has to be ubiquitous for everyone.

The approach I am taking now is to collaborate with the platforms directly and build a system which they will use themselves, publishing the rebuttals directly into the Facebook and Twitter News feeds, the Google search results, and present in your browser when you view webpages.

We’ve already prototyped most of these use-cases. Now the challenge is to just organise the collaborations officially and raise the funding to pay the developers.
