How come there’s no blame placed at Barry Trotz’s feet? The team he formerly coached, Nashville, is in the Western conference finals after he left and in neither Washington nor Nashville Trotz could get them past Round 2. Washington maybe in blow-up mode now, but the first thing that will change is Barry Trotz. He’s turning into the NHL’s version of Marty Schottenheimer, a really good regular season coach but a terrible post-season one that ultimately gets fired out of postseason frustrations.
