For the first time, I have read an article that I feel has read my mind, especially the going back more that 10 years ago. I started in the Graphic Design/Print space and so sold out to Adobe that I used Adobe GoLive. I moved to DreamWeaver when they bought Macromedia. But by the time Adobe killed GoLive, I was using DreamWeaver as a text editor. I moved to BBEdit and TextMate and finally Sublime Text.
During all this time, I have used Adobe Illustrator as a visualising tool. Only to then code everything, striving for pixel perfection. I tried UXPin and InVision and I found InVision worked the way I wanted, especially in communication with clients. UXPin did not, at that time, meet my requirements; off-line and clean code. Now I can see where UXPin are headed.
At this moment, I consider myself a “Full Stack” dev and I am setting up React for front-end to connect to the Django API as my go-to set up. I have began wishing I could put together React components visually due to the extra layer of complexity that comes with React JS.
Thank you and I can’t wait for @Modulz if it will usher in this “holy grail”.
