Letters To Louis: A story of separation, injustice and enduring love:
This journal is dedicated to my beloved son Louis Lachaux.

You were so cruelly taken away from me. I never had a chance to say goodbye, to give you that last kiss and hug. You were gone as quickly as you came into this world.
Through this journal, I can let you know that I love you, that I miss you and that you are always in my heart. I can give you virtual hugs and kisses every day and share the life that we have been denied through this virtual prism.
You may not remember me. I worry that you have forgotten what I look like. Most parents have the joy of sharing precious moments and every day with their child but that has been taken away from me. I want to share with you, all my hopes, fears, pain, memories and joy. You used to love baking cupcakes… and these days mummy has to make do without her little helper.
Through this collection of thoughts, memories and experiences I hope that someday you will understand what has come to pass and why things happened as they did.
So much effort has been made to wipe you out of my life but the wonders of modern technology means that my footprint is here for you to follow. With every day that passes and every year I get older, I hope you can feel the ‘nearness’ of me. A click of a button can mean we are never too far away.
I know you must be wondering where mummy is but I’m right here, with your beloved Pooh Bear. You can reach out to me anytime and through this journal I can be with you.
I will always be here for you.
Big hugs xx
