The Black-Owned Influencer Agency is Building Long-Standing Commitment to Black Digital Talent
ATLANTA, GA (June 19, 2024) — As we celebrate the Juneteenth holiday, we reflect on the advancements and dreams of our ancestors, recognizing how their aspirations have shaped our world. At Agency Cliquish, we honor their legacy by amplifying and proudly representing the voices of Black digital talent.
Our Journey of Growth and Expansion
“Agency Cliquish started with me managing two clients; I was truly a girl with a dream,” shared Taylar Barrington-Booker, Founder and Head of Talent and Partnerships at Agency Cliquish. “I’m extremely excited to witness the growth of the company and its renewed direction. AC is truly bigger than myself; it’s more than the talent we get to champion, it’s also about educating and supporting the next generation of Black professionals that build a more diverse workforce in influencer marketing. Witnessing the excitement of our team members about every aspect of this realm inspires me to want to continue to build,” beamed Barrington-Booker.
Rose Mwaremba, Agency Cliquish’s first and longest-working employee, added, “Starting from the planning stages in Taylar’s basement, with papers stuck to the walls, no talent to represent, and just one staff member, to now tripling our roster with more than 15 team members in just three years, is incredible. Not many companies can claim such rapid growth. Witnessing the company’s expansion into multiple departments, including an entire PR team, is impressive — something I never imagined.”
Adaya Jackson, a Campaign Coordinator at Agency Cliquish who has been with the company for over a year shared, ‘The past few months at AC have seen very intentional growth. From expanding our team and deepening our client support to adding various verticals and diversifying our digital creators, Agency Cliquish is truly defying the odds.’”
The Last Quarter: A Transformative Period
In just the past quarter, Agency Cliquish has made significant strides by expanding our leadership team, enhancing client experiences, and growing our capabilities.
This intentional growth has brought new energy and opportunities, creating a space where both talent and the team can thrive.
‘To further our mission, we have expanded our processes with a deep focus on enhancing the client experience. We’ve forged partnerships with our talent; because being intentional about how we work with talent is truly integral to our work,’ shared Terrence Taylor, Director of Operations.
“Some of the most rewarding moments of my time at Agency Cliquish have been the opportunities to hire incredible Black professionals who are creators, storytellers, publicists, influencer marketers, and more. The team at Agency Cliquish is more strategically focused than ever to help drive our mission and purpose forward,” adds Taylor.
Embracing New Verticals and Diversifying Talent Narratives
One of the most impactful shifts in focus has been the expansion of our verticals and talent roster. With the addition of Tech, Gaming, Home, and Beauty, Agency Cliquish remains committed to representing the entirety of the Black experience.
‘As the first Tech and Gaming Talent Manager, I’ve been able to help aspiring Black tech creators get one step closer to becoming full-time influencers,’ states Lloyd George, Tech and Gaming Manager.
‘Providing tech influencers with opportunities for us to manage their legal needs, source opportunities, and handle client communication has allowed my roster to focus more on creating the best content. I’ve been able to assist my roster by advocating for fair rates, resulting in a 4X increase in average partnership offers.’
A Legacy of Authenticity
At Agency Cliquish, authenticity is more than a value — it’s a cornerstone of our identity. We empower our team to bring their true selves to each day, enabling us to create compelling narratives that tell our story, their way.
Ryen Cooper, who plays a pivotal role in agency-led content creation and the creative process, adds, ‘My work has helped Agency Cliquish expand its already extensive presence in the Black digital creator economy. As Content Manager, my goal is to create content that authentically shares our voice and mission, celebrating our team for all we’ve accomplished. It’s fulfilling to wake up and do what I love, knowing that I can showcase our Black talent and team through AC.’

As we reflect on our journey and look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of fostering a place where culture and creativity shifts the influencer industry for years to come.
“Advocacy for Black talent is a core part of our mission. My career started with a focus on Black influencer talent, so it’s a full-circle moment for me to now officially manage talent. I love contributing to an agency like Agency Cliquish, as it resonates with me on a new level because I exclusively work with creatives that look like me. We’re not a monolith, and it’s imperative for all Black voices to be seen,” adds Michelle Benjamin, Beauty Manager.
As Juneteenth remains a time of celebration and introspection, we uplift the values of those before us and continue to walk fully in our purpose: amplifying the Black voice and building a long standing commitment to serving Black digital talent for years to come.

Agency Cliquish is a management agency for Black digital talent, founded in 2021 as a response to the BLM protests with the belief that Black creators not only deserved corporate commitment but also guidance and support to achieve full potential in their digital careers. Our goal is to empower our talent, assisting them in overcoming obstacles and effortlessly reaching their aspirations, while fighting for fair compensation and brand accountability.
