As the daughter of a physician who was trained in traditional medicine and then made the jump to anti-aging medicine (board-certified in both), I would like to say that, in broad strokes, Ms. Somers is 100% correct. There’s plenty of quack medicine out there, but bio-identical hormone replacement therapy has hard science behind it. As with anything, it depends on the kind of BHRT you get.
