It’s important to seek knowledge every day and learn from other people’s lessons and experiences. The startups and tech world is changing at a pace we have never witnessed before, and unless you keep yourself knowledgeable and informed, your are outdated! Be a lifelong learner, and you will never lose. I have written before about the state of the organisational learning and how broken it is, maybe it’s worth checking.

What forced me to start working on Knowledge Officer, is that I knew we deserve something better than the crap being pushed into our faces every day from clickbait, ads-driven or “viral” content. I believed and still do, that good quality content does not have to be viral and does not have to be fresh, and I believed we need “Knowledge” more than “News”.

I learnt from thousands of people whom I have been reading what they have written and taking notes over the years and I wanted to make sure everyone in the world gets the same experience and not suffer the same suffering.

Over the past 6 months at KO, we have read thousands of articles and identified what are the elements that differentiate a spam from a top notch content and how we can scale our machine to build a qualifier that can push writers to write better content and ease the problem of finding good quality content in the age of information overload for readers. So that you know, for every article we have identified as something worth reading, we have trashed ten articles of spam! Can you believe how much time you are wasting every day!

Not only that; think of the opportunity cost. How much of the world’s best knowledge is hidden from you because you only see the tip of the iceberg and how can this knowledge help you and your company make better decisions and work faster and smarter?

At KO, we help you dodge getting trapped in a clickbait. We want to offer a better content and recommendation system that favours the readers and writers goals and not work as a money-making machine.

So what’s exactly Knowledge Officer?

Knowledge Officer is a content discovery and learning platform for startups and scaleups. We want to be the Accelerator of the future, maximising the potential and accelerating the success of any startup by making sure they are equipped with the right knowledge throughout their journey. Our goal is to embed a culture of learning and sharing within each and every company in the world and to use our product as a defacto standard in the same way they treat Slack and Trello as defaults.

We are now testing a beta version with ten companies in London and USA and aiming to go live for every company in the world by the end of June.
