Facing Your Failure
As the common saying Life began at the end of you comfortable zone. Our next assignment to come up from our comfortable zone so for this purpose I and my group member Bilal Ashraf choose the project of promoting Amal Career fellowship. For this purpose we firstly prepare our elevator pitch and practice it a number of time to have fluent in it. Then we took 40 flyers of Amal in which 20 I kept and 20 Bilal. Our main focus is our university’s fellows and hostel mates to whom we can motivate to apply more strongly. So I paste one flyer on hostel notice board that every girl of hostel definitely see while going to mess room and another one on the main gate of girl’s hotels. Bilal also do the same for promotion he pasted one flyer in his department’s notice board where he faced difficulty of admin permission but he took the permission by telling him the purpose of Amal Academy and how is it beneficial for students.
The next task which is a bit difficult for us is public speaking but for this purpose we already well prepared our elevator pitch now it’s a time to use our effective communication skill that we learned in our fellowship. So on Wednesday I went to my class where all girls waiting for teacher and sitting in rows. I just picked the chance and went to dice and spoke my elevator pitch passionately, I noticed many girls seem non interested but I was mentally prepared for this situation so I handle it smoothly by telling the benefits of Amal. i was very amazed about the response of girls that most of the girls came to me and ask further detail about this fellowship. They give me their e.mail addresses. I personally send them the link of online form to their email addresses. The 2nd step is to promote it in hostel mates so when everyone is in mess room I again told the several girls about Amal. Bilal also did the same and promote Amal career fellowship with his class fellows and hostel mates. We strongly follow the Amal principle of eck aur eck giara in this activity and got email addresses of our fellows.
In the evening Bilal Ashraf and me deliver the some flyers on other department of the university and deliver the same message to the students of IAS,IBA, ICS, PUCIT and social sciences departments. Students was not ready to listen us but we talked them with the help of our department friends and help of the director. Most of the people was making fun of us but we ignore it and just focus on our objective and promote the project as much as we can by just focusing on the principle of KAM KAMKAM.
The fears that i faced is what if my class don’t listen me and make my fun, may they do not give me attention and what if the college admin don’t allow me do so but i handle all the situation and cope up my all fears as Imran Khan said we must know the ability to cope the times and we should never give up.
