As the company and services expand, Airfox grows the team in Boston
Over the past few months, the Airfox team has grown. We recently announced our hire of Gustavo as president for Brazil. We’ve also been growing our team in Boston to ramp up operations, provide robust business development capabilities, and expand capabilities of the company.
Justin Hoffman — Senior Manager, Business Operations & Strategy
Justin is a former investment banking analyst and UC Berkeley alum. As an undergrad, Justin worked in Bangladesh with Grameen Bank and Muhammad Yunus in microfinance, in addition to working across various financial firms within startup angel investing, technology M&A investment banking, and small-cap equity activist hedge funds. Prior to joining Airfox, Justin served as a manager of strategic initiatives at DoorDash, where he was responsible for building and scaling new business verticals. Prior to that, he served as the head of operations at Starship, a robotic delivery startup; the co-founder/CEO of Quickie Technologies, an on-demand delivery and mobility platform for college students; and lastly, served as a technology M&A analyst at Credit Suisse, one of the largest investment banks globally.
Cathy Melnikow — Marketing Manager, Brazil
With a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from MIT, Cathy is also fluent in Portuguese, and worked at f.biz agency in São Paulo as a Business Intelligence & Media Coordinator for 2 years. Cathy then came to Airfox from HubSpot as Implementation Specialist.
Luke Bayas — Principal Engineer
Luke is a former entrepreneur with deep experience building distributed web solutions for a variety of companies in the Boston area and beyond. He architected and built the Knack backup, restore & migration systems, he was part of a the NuoDB management layer team dealing with maintenance of a distributed object store as well as building APIs. Additionally, he previously co-founded Locally and was part of the inaugural class of the Iron Yard accelerator in Greenville, SC. At S2 Security, he was a core team member that ported the legacy appliance to a modern infrastructure that now runs on over 20k customer units worldwide.
Vi Le — Business Operations & Strategy Analyst
Vi is working at Airfox as a Business Operations and Strategy Analyst while she pursues her MS in M.S. in Business Analytics at Northeastern University. After getting her B.S. at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, She spent two and a half years working at three Apple Stores in Houston and Boston as a Mentor and a Product Specialist. She is also co-founder of Urban Harvest, a startup that applies sharing economy principal to urban farming in Boston area.
Jozias Machado — User Success Associate
Jozias graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and has 8 years of experience working in IT. Previously, at Industrie Ilpea, a multinational company in Brazil, Jozias was responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues for users of all levels of their clients’ organizations with a primary focus on exceptional customer service. At Airfox, he continues serving customers and is also responsible for building out the complete support program, external documentation, and internal processes.
Livia Tateyama — Marketing Intern
Livia is part of our Marketing team. Her passion for helping others and making their lives easier, makes her a very customer-driven person who is helping Airfox fully understand Brazilian market and overall culture. She was born and raised in Brazil and moved to the US five years ago. Livia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and is currently pursuing her MBA, where she will specialize in Marketing. Other than work, she enjoys baking and running.
