On the upside, people who write filth like that probably have filthy hearts to match. It makes it easier to cull one’s friend or dating list. Yes, I have fallen into the “preference” trap after attempting to play Devil’s advocate and defend Zinnia Jones against an “Internet Skeptic”/e-celeb. Zinnia was supposedly offering advice to someone already in a relationship with a trans woman. There was no end of tighty-whitey, bratty men claiming … risibly so … that her provocative post was proof there was a movement to “coerce” cis-men into having sex with trans women through … shaming? I cannot believe I am even typing this. It was just too silly a thing to recall, but it did happen … bigtime.

I am so glad I gave up Twitter and most of Facebook! Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss. I have no use for people who have pointless conversations to feed their vanity, ego, and sense of entitlement. I even started engaging in some of the deleterious behaviours I so despised. It made me feel like such scum. That was the chief reason why I decided to cease using those platforms.

Unfortunately, Medium also has similar problems, but it is manageable.

Thank you for drawing attention to this.
