Airlite is the winner of the Open Innovation Call, the competition organized by the city of New York to identify and pilot the latest technologies to improve air quality and reduce heat islands effects.

Airlite, already included by KPMG among the major innovations in the Real Estate market in the Real Estate Innovation Overview 2019, was announced winner of the Open Innovation Call, the competition organized by the city of New York to identify and pilot the latest technologies to improve air quality and reduce the effects of heat islands. The ultimate goal of the challenge is to identify and test the most promising tech solution within the City, in order to improve the current state of air quality and/or urban heat vulnerability.

The challenge has been developed into 2 separated tracks: track 1 is targeting products, service and operational practices that can improve air quality and/or reduce the harmful effects of urban heat islands; track 2 is focused on design solutions for how NYC can reimagine aspects of city life to improve air quality and/or reduce the intensity or harmful effects of Urban Heat Island effect.

“In May we received a communication at info@airlite.com, where we were asked to produce our documentation” says Daniele Occhi, the manager of Airlite in charge of the project. “After a first evaluation focused on product features, certifications, solar reflectance capabilities, Airlite was included among the finalists of Track 1.”

“This is a very important achievement, says Antonio Cianci, CEO and Co-founder of the company — “because this award brings Airlite among the products that the city of New York can use in specific projects. Thanks to our crowfunding campaign with Mamacrowd we want to raise the funds we need to grow commercially and start business in the American market, which has shown to appreciate our technology at the highest levels.”

AM Technology has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd (www.mamacrowd.com/airlite) to accelerate the development and internationalization of the company: until November 13 it will be possible to invest in the Airlite project, which has been included by the United Nations among the four most effective technologies in the world to fight air pollution.

“The funds raised will be used to strengthen the commercial network in order to increase turnover.” Antonio Cianci, CEO and Co-founder of the company, says: “The company is currently present in four countries, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom and China, and has business partners that support its development in Spain and Central America. The goal for 2020 is to consolidate our commercial presence in these markets and reach for the United States, the most difficult in the world, but also the one with the greatest potential.”
