It probably didn’t start off as a scam. She’s just horribly inept as a business person and doesn’t have the technical know-how to develop the game. There’s a reason she has to beg for handouts online instead of earning a living through her craft.

It’s pretty clear at this point that Giant Spacekat is a one person operation. All attempts to convince people it’s not is just part of the con.

The thing that bothers me the most is the lack of transparency. Kickstarter campaigns sometimes fail (there is a reason they are turning to Kickstarter in the first place). Just admit you couldn’t fulfill the project goals. Misleading statements and ignoring backers gives the impression that she is more of a con artist than just a failed business person.
