Overall Approach:

1. Assume the airport operates an average of 24 hours a day.
2. Assume the average flight time is around 2 hours.
3. Based on the above assumptions, we can estimate the airport can handle around 12 take-offs.
4. Multiply the number of take-offs per hour (12) by the number of hours the airport operates in a day (24) to get the total number of flights taking off in a day: 12 flights/hour * 24 hours/day = 288 flights/day.
