Changing your Default Wifi Network

The best things about have a MacBook is that you can carry it with yourself anywhere you want. But if you want to connect your laptop with some other wifi network (besides your default home wifi network), then you might face some difficulties. And if you are new to MacBook then changing your default wifi network will definitely give you a hard time. This article contains a simply procedure to change your default wifi network. So if you are new to MacBook and want to change the wifi network then you can follow the instructions and steps mentioned below:

1. First of all open your MacBook Pro and log into it with the Administrator’s account.

2. To change your default wifi network, open ‘System Preferences’. To open ‘System Preference’, click on the Apple icon on the top menu bar on your screen. a drop down menu will appear. Scroll to ‘System Preferences’, and click on it to open the ‘System Preferences’ folder’.

3. Your system will now show you the ‘System Preferences’ window on your screen. Now locate an icon saying ‘Network’ under the section of ‘Internet and Wireless’. Click on this icon to get an access to the internet and wireless’ settings.

4. Now your system will load the ‘Network’ window on your screen. From the white pane on the left-hand side of this ‘Network’ window, select your Wifi network. On the lower right-hand side of the ‘Network’ window, your system will show you a button saying ‘Advanced’. After selecting your Wifi network, click on this ‘Advanced’ button.

5. In a new small window, your system will now show you the list of all the available wifi networks around you. Select the wifi network of your choice and drag it’s icon to place it on top of the shown list. Then lastly press ‘Ok’.
