So I think one has to ignore oneself so hard now as to hope that eternity will bring fulfillment.

Nihilism was at the center of my depression for a long time. Each time I had a slight desire to do something, I would think “what’s the point?” and brush it off. Though I’ve come out of the depression I still have this thought every once and a while when I want to do something. It’s silly and I’m much happier doing things because I want to do them and not because there’s any point to them.
