Wow, what a powerful read. So true and so sad that we’re in a situation where literally no decision comes without guilt or judgement.
I find it interesting, though, that in an piece about changing the way society treats motherhood/working motherhood you reference that your husband asks about dinner and ‘helps’ more than the average father, but hardly mention the role of men in all of this. There is so much that needs to change, but I think a fundamental part of that is that men need to do an equal amount at home and stop thinking of it as “helping.”
