Created in 2002, the National Association of Vision Care Plans was organized to establish a national trade association in the vision care industry. The association was created for the purpose of establishing a unified voice along with providing a center for the exchange of industry information and promoting the improvement of quality regarding managed vision care.
The NAVCP provides two levels of membership for those in the vision care industry. Primary memberships are available to businesses who manage a vision care provider network and are involved in the administration as well as marketing and contracting of vision care plans. Allied memberships are available for companies that have an interest in the industry, but are non-voting entities.
