I‘m sorry you don’t have better self-esteem is not the same as you shouldn’t be treated terribly. It’s a vicious kind of gaslighting that blames the prey for its predator’s violence.
A call to action: your fat friend is going it alone.
Your Fat Friend

That’s flat out passive aggressive. No ifs, ands or buts about it. The biggest problem in our society is that people try to shift blame for their emotions onto others. If someone is scared or rather paranoid about their health or obsessed about their appearance and they turn their fear to anger and aggression on others rather than focusing on themselves that is a huge problem. We as a society have allowed it to run rampant because so many people have been able to profit off of it. And the rest who haven’t figured out how wrong it is have convinced themselves that they are justified in their backwards views because it absolves them from any wrongdoing and even has the bonus of proclaiming that they are in the right. If that’s not the hallmark of original sin, I don’t know what is; “it will make you feel good and it’s not really wrong if you twist things around.”
