Why Most People Will Never Be Rich

I’ll genuinely explain how difficult it is to be rich. To begin with, there is a nearly 10% probability that one will be born in a first-world nation. This will raise your chances of becoming rich.

Ok, so let’s say you are born in a first world country. What are your odds of graduating college which also increases your chances of becoming rich? Maybe 40% on the high end. So the odds of you being born in a first world country and graduating college both are 0.4*0.1 or about 4%.

Now, many rich individuals, no matter what you call to be considered rich, have these things I described. So if you are 96% of people who don’t have these things, it will become even much harder than it already is (which is already very hard) to become rich.

So, in order to get rich, all you actually need is for enough things to go in your favour, which is really difficult. In fact, it is already very difficult to be born in a first-world country and earn a college degree. that 96% of the population already cannot own. So, just by bringing that up, that is the reason why many individuals never become wealthy. Even those who do have it have rather slim chances of becoming wealthy. however, the probabilities are substantially better than the other 96%.

This holds true even if you define rich as, for example, a billionaire with a net worth of exactly $1 billion. Not everyone has equal access to the opportunities that would enable them to have more advantages.
