If that’s how you see UX designers or that’s the type of UX designers you’ve worked with, then the problem isn’t that they don’t know development. The problem is that they lack the ability to envision their design and bring it to fruition. Development skills aren’t necessary to create a prototype. If a UX designer doesn’t know how to prototype then they’re not a UX designer to begin with.
