UX Case Study : Bank Jago LastWish by Kampus Merdeka
This project is part of the UI/UX training program implemented by Skilvul , for Kampus Merdeka program held by Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia. Bank Jago is the Challenge Partner. I am not working for nor contracted professionally by Bank Jago.
Overview
Jago Last Wish is a digital financial service that focuses on user’s daily activities. Not only focuses on financial, Bank Jago created an insurance to support users’ lifestyles and also help them achieve their life goals.
If we look at what is already on the market, usually these products are sold as a form of prevention from disasters or bad things that will happen in the future. In addition, life insurance is also traditionally used to protect the livelihood of the family you support through your livelihood before it is time to die. This is quite serious considering that not everyone has planned for the future.
Bank Jago created Jago Last Wish to support users’ lifestyles and also help them achieve their life goals, not just selling financial products. Imagine if you could make a will digitally, the contents of which could be whatever you wanted to do and the funding for its implementation could be guaranteed by an insurance product. You could make a will as usual, leave money for your family, or you could also request that you be buried outside space! You can make a wish as far as your imagination can take!

Role
As UI/UX Designer, I collaborate with two members, Julian Rizki Pratama and Benedict Hardyanto. We always work together and what we do is :
- Brainstorming
- User Flow
- Wireframing
- Creating UI kit
- Prototyping
- User Testing
Design Process
In this case we use Design Thinking method in our process. With this method, we define users and their needs that will be processed into creating a solution in a creative way
There is 5 stages in Design Thinking
- Empathize
- Define
- Ideate
- Prototype
- Test
Stages 1 : Empathize
In this stage, we need to know the user’s needs and how they feel. So we brainstorming together about pain points that user feel when they use the application and we conduct online surveys to competitor with the same field and from Bank Jago give some insight
Stages 2 : Define
From Empathize stages we brainstorm about the results we get from surveys and from Bank Jago itself, and here what we got :
from pain point above we analyze and then we got How Might We
Stages 3 : Ideate
In this stages, we brainstorm together about the solution based on the results of how might we. We vote to determine the best solution for the problem.
after that we categorize from solution idea to affinity diagram
Last we determine the priority based on Yes, Do it now | Do Next | Do Last | Later
Then we build Crazy 8 to make a sketch about the design, this help us to make some refrence to wireframe
User Flow
Stages 4 : Prototype
Before we make the prototype we make a wireframe, the function of wireframe is for a refrence when we build a prototype
and then In protyping stages, we arrange the UI into a process flow according to the solution idea and userflow that has been created. The prototype will be used for testing with users.
This is the prototype that you can try it !
If you can’t try because some technical problem please kindly click here
Stages 5 : Testing
After we build the prototype we conducted In-Depth Interview & Usability Testing to 1 respondent
Objectives
Find out the level of usability, convenience and satisfaction of users in making Jago Last Wish , Edit Insurance Plans, Last Wish personalization, Last Wish challenge and Claim Processes. Using SEQ ( SIngle Ease Question ) from 1 to 7 and this is the result
the result is we got 6.6/7 from respondent there is just a minor experience that makes confused and feels like it needs more color
- Instead clicking word to get to the menu ( for claiming Last Wish ), we can make full banner clicked to get to the menu
- Needs more color on Jago Last Wish ( we already fixed it )
when all minor problem fixed we get a perfect score on SEQ ( Single Ease Question )
Conclusion
What i learn ?
There is many challenge to designing, but for me there is so many thimgs to be considered besides aesthetic and appearance, the point is where you can make it beautiful and effective to users.
Many things that makes this project worked one of them is Communication to team when we make this design we faces so many obstacles but in the end we can make it to the end !
When we get worked in this design we do think about new ideas, discuss it, implement it, do revisions and repeat, always continue and making it better time to time
