Alegria Heritage Park

ALEGRIA HERITAGE PARK…. is the heart of the Alegria Town, cannot be missed, boasting a 18th-century church (Saint Francis Parish) a Spanish 17th Century watchtower (baluarte), local markets where you can buy local produce, wander around the park find a bench, relax and look out over the Tañon Strait

Sta. Filomena Marine Sanctuary

STA FILOMENA MARINE SANCTUARY…. Situated on the main highway in Sta. Filomena and cannot be missed. This established Marine Centre offers some of the best marine life, coral, creature and fish variety in CEBU. You are likely to see an abundance of reef fish: parrotfish (juvenile and adult), damselfish, butterflyfish, frogfish, angelfish and many others presented. Giant Clams, Grouper, and snapper are healthy and you may see large schools of blue tang and creole wrasse. Great for Snorkeling fantastic for Scuba Diving. Mt. Lanaya

MT. LANAYA…. Stands on its throne around 700 meters above sea level, it provides the panoramic view of the vast ocean and the mountains of Negros Province. There are two trails if you wish to climb Mt. Lanaya. One is from Lumpan which has an estimated 2-hour trek depending on the pace. The other ace is the Legaspi trail, this one requires you to be in good physical and mental condition since it has a difficult and challenging trail, this will take 4 hours of trek. Mt. Lanaya is just one of the many tourist attractions in Alegria for the hardcore traveller.

Canlaob Falls & Spring

CABAOB FALLS & SPRING…. Compostela, Alegria, Cebu.The cold and clear waters of Canlaob Spring would surely entice you to take a dip. This wonder is unexplored and people of Compostela are very proud of this treasure. A few minutes from the provincial road and around 10 minutes away from Cankalanog Falls, tourists can experience the tranquil beauty enhanced by surrounding green jungle. Tourists are reportedly visiting unspoiled caves rich with stalactites and stalagmites. When you’re in Alegria make sure that Canlaob Spring is in your itinerary.

Montpellier Falls

MONTPELLIER FALLS…. Now this is a waterfall! Unlike the other falls in Alegria, this one had the height, the power and a majesty befitting a waterfall. Unlike the other falls, this one is absolutely free. That’s right, there’s no entrance charge. A trip to Alegria definitely calls for a visit to Montpellier Falls, which is an experience that can only be described as something out of a movie. With the waterfall gushing forth, surrounded by green trees clinging onto the mountain, and vines hanging from above, it’s like a private pool party.

Kawasan Falls

KAWASAN FALLS…. Are located at Badian, Cebu. Not actually in Alegria but right on the border, Kawasan Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines. Here awaits turquoise blue water where you can swim around and relax. For those who are more adventurous, one could also embark on a bamboo raft and go for a ride under the waterfall and at the same time receive a tremendous neck massage by the pouring water. Kawasan Falls is a popular attraction both among locals and tourists.

Cangkalanog Falls

CANGKALANOG FALLS…. Are located at Compostela, Alegria, Cebu. To get to Cangkalanog Falls, you will need to hike for around 20 minutes from the jump point in Sitio Samoyaw. The falls may not be that huge but is beautiful nonetheless. The fresh and clear blue water here will surely help you relax after a strenuous canyoneering activity.

Cambais Falls

CAMBAIS FALLS…. Are located in Valencia, Alegria, Cebu, are an absolute godsend for hikers and travellers. Whether it’s a hike up the mountains or a sightseeing trip in a quaint remote town, a plunge in a refreshing waterfall is the icing on the cake of every outdoor adventure. Awe-inspiring and simply wondrous, waterfalls are also such a mesmerising sight to behold and an impressive natural wonder that exudes a rather relaxing feel.

Cambusay & Salay Caves

CAMBUSAY CAVE…. The jump off point to Salay Cave can be reached by habal-habal (motorcycle) 30 minutes away from Alegria’s centre. Welcomes any visitors through its huge gaping mouth or by a large opening which enables a small amount of light to get through. The passageway from Cambusay leads to another opening which you have to trek to get to Salay caves. SALAY CAVE’S…. The opening is smaller compared to Cambusay but the interior of the cave boasts of huge stalactites and stalagmites which should be preserved and protected.
