Alethea AI is excited to share their dual launch of Open Fusion, which can integrate ChatGPT (and other AI Models available in the Intelligence Layer of the AI Protocol) and more Generative AI capabilities into any NFT, and CharacterGPT V2, the newest innovation of the world’s first multimodal generative AI system which enables text-to-character creation.
All of this is accompanied by the launch of a new website for the AI Protocol and other dApp upgrades.

Answering some of the frequently asked questions by the community
- What is Open Fusion?
Open Fusion is the process of imbuing an NFT with Generative AI capabilities to make it a tokenized AI Agent (or intelligent NFT or iNFT) by fusing it with an Intelligence Pod. As the pioneer of the iNFT Standard, Alethea AI has opened its innovative fusion technology to all 2D ERC-721 AI Protocol-compatible NFTs.
The iNFTs created via Open Fusion will be able to offer and perform a variety of AI Services, such as: real-time dialogue with creators, art creation, custom video creation, and even enable dApp creation on the AI Protocol.
2. What NFTs are eligible for Open Fusion?
The eligibility of an NFT for fusion with Intelligence Pod to create iNFT depends on its compatibility with Alethea AI’s iNFT standard and guidelines of the AI Protocol.
Intelligence Pods are on Ethereum for now and can only be fused with the AI Protocol-compatible ERC-721 NFTs. While only 2D NFTs are supported for now, keep an eye on the announcements for updates on fusing 3D NFTs with Intelligence Pods.
3. How do the latest upgrades affect Revenants?
Revenants are the flagship collection of the world’s first intelligent collectible assets and will always hold a historical value in the AI Protocol ecosystem. With the integration of ChatGPT into the AI Protocol ecosystem, Revenant owners can opt-in to leverage ChatGPT as the Conversational AI model combined with Alethea AI’s in-house Revenant Base AI Model.
We have also made significant improvements in the fidelity and appearance of all 100 Revenants. Revenant owners will be able to change between their original appearance and their high-fidelity appearance as they choose. This is an opt-in process!
4. I am not interested in creating a dApp but see many new AI Protocol compatible assets being created using MyCharacter.ai. How does it affect my Intelligence Pod?
The Intelligence Pod will continue to be fusible with AI Protocol-compatible NFTs, as promised (there is no need to build a dApp). This means that an Intelligence Pod holds the power to imbue any NFT with generative capabilities which no other asset on the AI Protocol is capable of.
Along with that, iNFTs will continue to offer AI services like real-time conversation, art creation, content creation, and more.
Moreover, the diversification of AI assets within the AI Protocol ecosystem can enhance the overall value and utility of all components, including Intelligence Pods.
5. What is the latest update on ARKIVs?
As the AI Market has seen incredibly rapid growth, some of the original assets in the ARKIVs have become obsolete. We want to ensure that we are delivering value to the community and ARKIV owners when we unbox them. We will release more updates on ARKIVs in the upcoming future announcements.
6. How is CharacterGPT V2 different from CharacterGPT?
CharacterGPT V2 is a significantly advanced version of CharacterGPT, the world’s first multimodal generative AI system that can create interactive and tokenizable AI Characters from a description in natural language. In short, it enables Text-to-Character Generation or TTC.
CharacterGPT V2 enables users to generate fully interactive and intelligent AI characters with backstories and individual personalities using a single-line prompt. CharacterGPT V2 can also ingest more detailed prompts than its ancestor model which can create more realistic, diverse, and high-fidelity characters.
7. How do I build a dApp utilizing CharacterGPT V2 on the AI Protocol?
While dApp building is currently not open, you need to own an iNFT to be eligible to build a dApp utilizing CharacterGPT V2 on the AI Protocol. If you are eligible, you can fill out the request form here!
8. How will ChatGPT integration into AI Protocol affect the ecosystem and its components like iNFTs and AI Characters on MyCharacter.ai?
With the addition of ChatGPT to the AI Protocol as an AI Service Provider, any dApp on the AI Protocol can leverage the Generative capabilities of ChatGPT (or any future model integrated into the AI Protocol). This will allow for more vibrant and engaging AI services on the AI Protocol.
Noah’s Ark and MyCharacter.ai have enabled ChatGPT integration into iNFTs and AI Characters respectively. This means that iNFTs and AI Characters generated using CharacterGPT V2 will be able to leverage it to enhance their conversational and personality creation capabilities.
Please note that you can still continue to leverage character-creation Intelligence legos to train your Intelligence Pods.
9. What is the fundamental difference between iNFTs and AI characters when both represent tokenized intelligence?
The fundamental difference between iNFTs and AI Characters is the AI services they provide.
Open Fusion allows you to imbue your favorite NFT with generative capabilities creating an iNFT, whereas you can generate the appearance of AI Characters on MyCharacter.ai using a single prompt in natural language.
iNFTs are an integral part of the AI Ecosystem. While iNFTs and AI Characters both allow real-time conversation and content creation capabilities (depending on the level of the Intelligence Pod), iNFTs enable dApp creation on the AI Protocol. It’s through this dApp creation that AI Characters are created! In essence, iNFTs are the creators of new AI Assets through dApps. MyCharacter.ai is a very successful example of dApp creation capabilities of iNFTs.
As the AI Protocol is progressively decentralized, iNFTs will play a major role in enabling dApp creation and leveraging AI Protocol’s Intelligence layer.
