Morning Glory — 3 Habits To Immediately Improve Your Life.
A beautiful sunset. A quiet sunny day.

I am out on the balcony in my short-term studio of Bondi Beach.
After I moved to Australia 6 months ago, I have started to live my life differently. Slowed down.
I used to go out every night, often coming back home when the sun was very up in the sky. Because of my night-time habit, my days were pretty short.
I was younger, and I did not care because all my plans were:
Have fun — Have fun — Have fun.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love to go out, have fun, get drunk and meeting new people. The thing is that I have realized that 90% of my fun were going out and clubbing. Tooo much.
But things have changed because I have realized that I was missing something incredibly amazing: the daytime.

I have to thank Australian people and their incredible passion for all things that happen before dawn.
Here a list of things that will make if you feel better when done in the earliest part of your day.
1) Work Out

I was still in Italy when I have read the book “The Power of Habit” by Charles Duhigg. That tome opened my mind, making me realize that I could do anything I wanted, if I was able to plan ahead. That’s when I started to excercise first thing in the morning.
Coming to Australia, seeing everyday people empowering their bodies through fitness, just confirmed that I was on the right path. Excercising under the sun and with day-time lights is much easier and fun than doing it in the evening.
Your day will change for the best, believe me. And your daily workout is only #1momentaway.
2) Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast has always been one of my favourite moments.
Immediately after excercising, I love to eat something healthy and delicious. My body and my mind always feel and get better afterwards.
Before moving to Australia, my classic breakfast was: milk, coffee and biscuits, maybe with some “corporate” sweets (Nestlé, Mondelez, etc).
After moving to Australia, I changed my habit:
- I have changed milk with fresh juice (apple, orange, celery, carrot, mint);
- I have changed biscuits with organic yogurt, muesli and berries;
- I have added vitamin tablets to my breakfast (especially vitamin C).
My body is still saying “Thank you!”. Yours will, too.
3) Planning your day ahead

It doesn’t matter if you are a journalist, a marketer, a job seeker or full-time mum: any job or duty that you might have will require planning, time management and at some point you’ll need to get things done.
Here a quick fact for you: successfull people wake up earlier than most people and that’s how they get productive.
Think about it: if before 9am you’d have already took a shower, had breakfast, worked out and wrote a list of what you need to do during the day, you would definitely get rid of the biggest problem of them all: shortage of time.

Happiness is close. Is in in front of you. You just didn’t see it yet, because to reach happiness we need to start from the beginning. After you finish to read this article:
- Set your alarm one hour earlier
- Write down a list of healthy groceries to purchase at the supermarket
- Start thinking what things you need to change in your life
- Start to set up your next goals (health, career or a writing idea?)
