The Hidden Secret Behind Accelerated Learning: Why Introverts Learn Faster

This post initially caught my eye because “accelerated learning” is a pedagogical style applied to remedial/developmental students in higher education. Even though about 60% of students need remediation, many who take these courses will never go on to graduate — in the worst cases, multiple remedial courses means a student has a less than 10% chance of ever graduating. This post would be an incredible resource for higher ed leaders trying to reshape how we prepare students for college — especially those already enrolled but who test into these remedial courses. What seems to be key here, as articulated in this post, is that “accelerated” doesn’t just mean faster, but strategically accelerated.
