This whole article is baffling.

Most people work in fields where they have neither talent nor passion.

Waiters, barmen, baristas, accountants, most admin types for example HR

Having a job in a field about which you are passionate is a bonus.

Hard work will compensate for the lack of talent unless it is an area in which you are naturally useless.

“Passion” is code for “We want an employee happy to work 80 hours for 40 hours pay and burn themselves out so we ca replace them with someone younger and cheaper”

I have never seen an add for an accountant or HR person that asked for “Passion”. In fact I cannot imagine anyone outside Academia bing passionate about accounting. Well maybe forensic accounting, but I have my doubts.
