Carolina In My Mind
A flarf poem
Last night I saw James Taylor at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Here is a preview poem called “Carolina In My Mind” from my upcoming chapbook called “MIXTAPE”. MIXTAPE will be a series of flarf poems created from YouTube comments of the corresponding song each poem is titled after. the chapbook will be about 14-16 poems long (the approximate size of the average mixtape) and will come with a burned CD of the mixtape songs.
Carolina In My Mind
A GENTLE INTRO TO SUNDAY. Great song for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Always Wondered — Which Carolina? North Or South?
South, of course
James Taylor is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina…so North.
this song is about him in drug treatment in europe.. dreaming about carolina.
I think he went to rehab in Berlin.
He was on the Mediterranean island of Formentera (near Spain)
Piedmont, near the mountains I would say. Blowing Rock and Boone. I never been to the Outter Banks.
I am orginally from St Augustine. Our beaches are the best. St Augustine Beach.
I am from Indiana….Indianapolis born and raised
Where is a good place to vacation?
drive across the James Taylor bridge over Morgan Creek on 15-501 south of Chapel Hil
In my case, it’s #Arizona so I change the words up a bit.
Not from Carolina? From Arkansas!! This song Got me through the Vietnam Situation in 1969-1973
it helps me relax at the end of a busy and often stressful week.
MAKES ME SAD BUT I JUST HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT.
I listen to this to torture myself. I listen in my car and cry. Maybe I miss my mom.
Every Friday morning our school custodian plays Taylor for the staff early in the morning
You’re up already ? .. hahaha .. don’t they ever sleep in Carolina ? Nothing crazy about sleep .. hahaha .. (^o^) ♥
Nothin better too sleep to than these old hits!!!!
James Taylor is like a fine wine. He only gets better with time.
Like good old wine, better than ever..
this old stuff is the best
He is really old(no offense) but really good and clear.
I had to become a grandfather, as he has, to really appreciate his true talent.
JT brings me to tears with his poetic genius, amazing
now that’s what i call real music. just AMAZING
It’s amazing I like hiphop but this is amazing.
He’s been amazing us since 1970, why stop now?
AH MAY ZING.
one word — amazing.
I have an only one word to discribe James Taylor: NO COMMENT!!!
