Angular Best Practices for Large Scale Projects
Introduction
Angular is a powerful platform for building complex web applications. It provides a strong set of tools and structures that can be extremely helpful for building, testing, and maintaining large scale projects. However, with great power comes great responsibility, and to leverage Angular’s full potential, developers should follow certain best practices.
Modular Code Structure
Dividing your code into modules promotes reusability and readability. Angular has a built-in modular system, NgModules, that consolidates components, directives, and pipes into cohesive blocks of functionality. Each Angular app has at least one root module, which should be lean and quickly bootstrap the application with the necessary providers.
For large projects, break down your application into feature modules to encapsulate related functionality. For example, if you have an ecommerce app, you might have separate modules for user authentication, product listing, and shopping cart.
@NgModule({
declarations: [ProductListComponent, ProductDetailComponent],
imports: [CommonModule],
exports: [ProductListComponent]
})
export class ProductModule {}
