40 roll films to sort and scan

August 12th, 2016 — 10:45AM

As I’m sorting all my roll films, I wanted to know the scope of my work. This represent me taking pictures between 2009 and 2016.

I had a previous cheap film scanner which required all my films to stay in roll. Guess what. I have a bigger fancy new scanner with a huge and better resolution and… I need my films not to be on a single roll.

OK.

I counted 40 roll films

40 : 36-exposure roll of 35mm film.

A maximum of 1440 photos, knowing that some are over/underexposed, some are totally unusable, so let’s lower the photos to 1200.

My film scanner take 2 minutes for a picture, so I would need 2400 minutes : 40 hours to scan them all.

OK.

I know the mountain is high, but, It’s fun.

No.

Not funny at all.

At least I only took 1200 pictures in 7 years ! No duplicate and no whyDidITakeThisPictureFor?

.

Okay, let’s get busy.
