Why I took 1 day off this summer and why you should too! ☀️
Three words: I am happy. The End.
No but seriously, people ask me why I’m not on vacation, even though I can take time off if I wanted too. All questions are answered below!
It’s simple: I love what I do and I want to do it as much as I can. 🚀
I love working:
- At an awesome startup that is growing and is an innovator and leader in the industry, I’m learning so much!
- After my 9–5 job from 7–2am on my app Doobbear that allows people to share voice statuses and express themselves differently!
- On my other startup Xbots selling chatbots B2B!
- As a Producer and acting in a theatrical performance in the centre of Athens!
Everything I do, I do because it makes me happy and I’m in love with it.
Sure, I love to travel, and I do! I got the chance to go to Cuba for 3 days!
But for me, when I’m away from work, I’m away from what I love, so I always end up going back, whether I want to or not.
So I took one day off this summer which was a day before a holiday giving me a long 4-day weekend to take a breather and reflect on my goals.
Setting micro and macro goals and most importantly monitoring them and adjusting them is an incremental part of how I move forward.
It helps me make sure I’m on the right track and heading towards the destination I want instead of being pushed into wherever the wind blows.
So why am I telling you this? 🤔
Because you should do the same too! 👊
Don’t get me wrong, if you’re happy with your life and don’t have any further ambitions, then do as you wish, don’t read any further.
But if you have goals you want to achieve and are even complaining that you don’t have time to accomplish them.. Bullshit!
Summer is the ideal time, you can take two weeks off of work, and start a business, start an online course, sell stuff on the side, anything you want!
Stop making excuses and go to work! 💯
