Spot on. People can lean on any tool they’re too comfortable with. Google Analytics is ubiquitous enough that it’s an easy target, but I could list a half dozen tools or tactics that I see people using as crutches on a daily basis. Product reps are astonished when I say I want to rethink a strategy and measure that result and then actually do it. We’ve all gotten used to paying lip service to innovation and disruption, but most of us rarely try to do it ourselves.
