Victim : Raj pariyar and many other citizens of kavre district.
Illegal organ broker comes to village assuring following things:
- Good job in India
- Complete a task and you will get 30 Lakhs ~ 30,00,000 approx $30,000
- Donate a part of your skin and you will get paid highly
- Organ will grow very fast as MANGOES grow in the tree.
Then the poverty wins the heart so victims approve to do so.
After donating their organ they do not get paid and never get any word from the victim.In recent days they are facing the pain in their body nobody provides them loan saying they will die soon so lets not take risk of loosing the money.
WHO ARE THE VICTIMS?:
Most of them are illiterate sub caste people of Kavrepalanchowk district who were searching for job and having a hard time to collect money for their daily meal in order to feed their family.
HOW IS ORGAN OPERATED OUT OF THE VICTIMS’ BODY?:
According to the rule of Government of Nepal (GON), organ can be transplanted only to their relatives.But still people are being victimized
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
WHERE ARE THE LOOPHOLES?
As the GON has stated that only the family members can donate their organ but yet the organ are being taken out from the victim’s body.
CNN Freedom project has stated the following loopholes:
- First the illegal organ broker assures above stated false dreams of being rich.
- First agent hands the victim to the agent of Kathmandu
- Another agent manages the legal document necessary for operating the victim in india to take his organ
- There of course many loopholes are involved which definitely includes the corrupt government officials.
- then the agents is headed towards india, there hospitals see the official document from NEPAL and its embassy in INDIA . After seeing the document it has to approve the case is legal and does the operation.
WHAT GOVERNMENT HAS TO SAY?:
We are aware that this illegal organ trafficking is a topic of our high concern and we are doing our best to stop the loop holes that are causing , supporting and promoting this.In the resent day we do not say that we are 100% free from this trafficking but we are very much improving in stopping this.
MY VIEWS:
I was shocked when the news further continued and called the name of my district
Kavrepalanchowk. Few weeks before my neighbour district Sindhupalchok was announced first fully literate district of nepal.[1].
Alwayz watching CNN is my passion, i got to see the world , but today I realised that not the world I got see my own village , my own community and country which is unknowingly being vulnerable to this kind of activities. When five members of a family have lost their kidneys think how unaware is our society, authorities that monitors the society, so called police headquarters, so called mediators of society who are supposed to deal with the problems instead of taking advantages of those innocent citizens and counting their votes only.
Kavre district in definate it will come in index of developed district due to the reason of the highway passing through the district: Aranik, B.P. Koirala near to China for trade, Many tourist and hsitorical areas like Dhulikhel, Panauti Namobuddha, Palanchok,
, Many colleges , schools high schools ,KATHMANDU UNIVERSITY, Malpi INternational, Information Technology PARK and many facts to be listed.
