Although Algorand is not metamask compatible, there are several excellent choices for wallets such as Pera Wallet or MyAlgo. We previously mentioned MyAlgo and we are very happy to announce that Pera wallet also joins us as one of the official wallets . Interestingly, Pera wallet has a mobile app, which enhances your experience with Algolaunch even more. Pera wallet is also supported by the Algorand Foundation.
How to set up Pera Wallet
1. Visit https://perawallet.app/
2. Click the “Download Pera App” button.
3. Download the Pera Wallet App from the app store on your mobile device
4. When the download is complete, click Open to run the app.
5. Those without a pre-existing Algorand wallet must click “I want to create an account”. There’s an option for users who “already ahve an account” to import their pre-existing Algorand wallet.
6. Make sure to read the account backup terms and conditions before proceeding.
7. There will be a message telling you to save your seed phrase somewhere. The Seed Phrase (composed of 25 words) is the only way to recover your Algorand wallet account, and it gives you full access to your account, so don’t share it with anyone.
8. After going through a series of tasks to confirm your seed phrase, you will be Verified and you can set your account name.
9. You are almost there if you completed the registration by setting up a 6-digit PIN and FaceID (optional) !
10. Now that everything is done, try out your Pera Wallet by pressing “Start Using Pera Wallet”.
