I totally agree with this but there is one thing that bothers me with IG stories and that’s the lack of aesthetics. On Snapchat I go my own merry way, not bothered if I or whatever I am posting on it is looking their best. The pictures I post on Instagram are much more carefully thought about (photo’s I also use on my food blog) and the IG stories, like snapchat, do not have this feel for a higher aesthetics level. My IG audience has certain aesthetic expectations from me and I don’t think I can fulfill them with IG stories. The same way my Snapchat audience expects quick info and jokes from my Snapchat, which plain old (pre-story) IG content can’t give them. But that’s why they follow me on Snapchat and not IG. I’m curious to see how IG stories will evolve! Thanks for your insights, Gary! They made me think 😉
