A TurtleCoin Testimony
Most people have no idea what cryptocurrency is. While the adoption of crypto worldwide is growing by the day, most people you will talk to can tell you either nothing about it or very limited information. From my experiences, people are usually interested in crypto if you mention it to them. People like money, people don’t like banks, so the idea of not having to deal with a centralized bank is appealing to many. I think many people get discouraged with the complexity of crypto. They look into it and see words like block chains, nodes, decentralization and other common words in crypto that are very uncommon in every day life and get discouraged. But like everything in life, things are complex to the ignorant. Knowledge can transform perspective very quickly.
I UNDERSTAND NOOBS BECAUSE I ONCE WAS ONE
I first searched about crypto years ago. I heard of bitcoin years ago and even looked into it, granted very shortly. I knew it was internet money. That’s about it. I wanted to buy some, as an investment since it’s something that’s pretty simple to invest in. No stock brokers. I couldn’t figure out how to buy it, where would be a good place to buy it from or really any easy to understand information on it, so I gave up. And even though it’s easier to find information on cryptocurrency in 2018 than it was in 2012, people still face the same challanges. So what is a easy way to learn?
WHERE TO LEARN?
TurtleCoin, duh. Once again I found myself in front of crypto. I once again was looking for a way to make some money. I use 4chan, but I only a few boards. In January I made my way into /biz/. There was a lot of posts on investing so I looked around. I kept seeing TurtleCoin threads. It’s easy, they said. Well that’s what I need, easy.
Community is something lacking in the crypto world and it may be one of the biggest needed things with all the new comers. TurtleCoin does it well, very well. I decided that TurtleCoin was interesting enough to explore. So off from 4chan I went to their main site, which encouraged me to come to their discord. Which I was glad to see, because the main site made no sense to me. It is laid out and explained very well, but when you have never heard of any of it, that still isn’t very helpful. But now I can talk to some people and try to figure out what this is and if I should even be interested. I was welcomed. People were helping me like someone was paying them to do it. But no one was. It was their time, which is something more important than money. You can make up money, never time. People like Turtle and Zpalm were helping me first day. The learning happened fast, but it was easy. We would break each thing down individually and it made it much more simple. And there was no delay. If I had a question at noon, someone helped me, if I had a question at 3am, someone helped me. Wallets, mining and much more, was explained. Links were set. Step by step on some things. It’s so important for a coin to take this approach because cryptocurrency is such an important thing.
I went from having no understanding of crypto to owning crypto, mining crypto, running nodes and contributing to TurtleCoin in no time. If you have come across TurtleCoin, you’re in a good place. The crptocurrency world can often feel like a Mad Max movie, but in the TurtleCoin world, we can teach you how to survive and prosper in it. Every level of understanding is there. There isn’t any set expectations for you there. You can learn very basic levels, or you can move on up and become very involved. We have very strong developers and some started out in TurtleCoin knowing and doing very little. And that’s fine. Slow and Steady wins the race.
