How to Eat Indian Food the Right Way

3 Tips:

  1. Your hands are your utensils. Traditionally, you would only eat with your right hand because the left is reserved for taking care of private business.
  2. Tear off pieces of your dosa to dip into chutney, but don’t treat your dosa as a chip and the chutney as a dip.
  3. Don’t double dip or bite something someone else has bitten. It makes the food jootha, or contaminated, and then nobody can eat it. It’s a Hindu concept that likely arose from fears of about spreading germs.
