I think MBTI is a great tool but it constantly annoys me that so many people believe they can absolutely nail someone on the basis of their letters.
As your post suggests, these are preferences. In other words, no one is the same all the time. I’m INFJ, like a lot of priests, and Jesus, allegedly, though I’m highly sceptical…
I think we can only honestly ever say say “the God I believe in” because we come before, experience ourselves in the presence of, seek and yearn for God in ways as unique as ourselves.
Yet, as you say, God is the God of all believers; and theologically at least we are all made in God’s “image and likeness”.
Praying also makes you a priest. STAY WITH ME. It’s about “holding a space” when others believe they can’t, being present when others feel overwhelmed. Or, as you suggest, holding hope when others are wondering where hope has gone.
Priesthood really is as mundane and practical as that. Thank you.
