Hi Zat, you are right about us being reactive most of the time. In fact, our subconscious mind makes up 95% and our conscious mind only 5%. So we are running on autopilot most of the time.
I like the simplicity of your question because it enhances our self-awareness and allows us to step back from the identification with our thoughts and behaviors.
This leads us to the conclusion that we are what we believe we are, and we act in ways we think we have to. Self-awareness then allows us to reprogram certain responses and reactions.
The best way to end this mental battle is to make both minds allies. We can use the subconscious mind and its its vast processing capabilities to solve problems we couldn’t do otherwise. And based on the output we make those powerful and conscious decisions. Or like Thomas Edison used to say:
“Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious”
