The Japanese word “ikigai” roughly translates as “a reason for being”. People with a strong sense of ikigai are those who have identified their unique interests and pursued them with vigor. They lead fulfilling lives that are not only happy but also meaningful and fulfilled. Furthermore, people who have found Ikigai in their life have discovered something that they love so much that they wouldn’t mind doing it even if they didn’t get paid for it, or even if nobody else ever knew about it.
