This is what the corruption in DC is. When Lobbyists pay politicians , they pay them as employees, like you mentioned . They “hire” them. Any Lobbyist with enough money can buy politicians, then it’s actually the lobbyists who write the bills and pass them to the politicians to introduce. Bills tailor made for their firm or wealthy individuals who hired them.

This is why our votes don’t matter. This is why no matter how much the people want something , if a wealthy individual, or wealthy corporation wants something else more, we won’t get it.

The money will always win. With the Citizens United decision , it just got even more fucked.
