I appreciate the response.
The definition of racism is believing that a race of people is inferior to another race of people, based on race. That’s what I meant by “true racism” I think to truly believe that, you have to be quite stupid, very ignorant , and probably also measure pretty high on the psychopathic scales.
I watched this documentary about the “White Power” people left in America. It was almost comedy. Because these people were like mildly mentally retarded. That’s how stupid they were. It was hard to watch, actually , just painful , they had no idea how pure dumb they were.
When I wrote that I said I just don’t think it exists anymore except for the south and some cities on the East Coast ( exactly where you said you lived)
I am not sure if you were lower middle class or lower class growing up, but in upper class society too, it’s really a bad thing. I grew up upper class/ upper middle class my younger years in Europe and teens in USA. I never saw it. It would have been something very frowned on and unacceptable. I lived in Carmel Ca for a while and then when I moved to Southern CA , I lived next door to a black family ( my first crush lived there too) and had many on my street. Along with Chinese, Syrian, Indian . We had a very multi cultural neighborhood , but even my Dad went to Compton High. He grew up in a 99.9% black community right between Watts and Compton. So he made it a major point .. I got sat down for a heart wrenching showing of Missisippi Burning when I was like I dk. Young.
I think we have a Police Problem. I think it’s more about money, if you have it , than it is about the skin nowadays. Like I said, I know white guys that had their arms broke by police.
But again, my opinion on race doesn’t matter that much. Because I’m not black. I can only tell you what I saw, what I experienced , and what I experience. I don’t know any racists. It’s a really bad thing to be racist. To everyone I know.
Racists are like the scum of the universe.
But one more point to add about the gangs. I disagree with you here. Sure when we are young we make mistakes.
I’m not sure how familiar you are with gangs, but none of the gangs I’ve been exposed to could be misconstrued as a “young mistake” these guys are killing each other at point blank range, gang raping rivals girl cousins in alley ways and shooting them execution style . Gangs are nothing nice and the problem is way more than not having oppurtunities. Because the truth in America today, is that if you are poor, and you want to succeed , it’s almost impossible to fail. There are so Many programs, benefits and help available to the poor. Trust me. That’s how I got myself through school. On those benefits.
It’s systemic. It’s not having parents at home. It’s having parents work two jobs to pay the rent. It’s having parents on drugs. It’s abusive parents. It’s so much more.
This sounds stupid, but it’s the number one reason why I think we need Bernie Sanders revolution. We need Maternity paid off. Other countries get one to five years of paid maternity leave . In fact the countries with the most paid maternity leave also have the lowest crime rates. The countries that have subsidized housing , appropriated taxes , best worker benefits and free healthcare also have the lowest amounts of crime. I think our food too has something to do with it. America puts the most amount of chemicals in our food and household products than any other country. Pesticides are illegal in Europe. Moms don’t have time to cook here. Kids are eating out of a box in america. In Italy when a kid acts up at school, the teacher calls home to ask what kind of food moms been cooking . I wish they did that here. Families need good, healthy, home cooked meals. Kids need parents that cook for them. From scratch. Haha. But man. It makes a difference! Why is our food so bad? Why are the chemicals so bad? Because those industries are our largest and they self regulate and they also pay off our congress and senate to keep making cheap and unhealthy products. But for the poor, they are the unhealthiest and the most inundated with chemicals that damage their DNA. It’s all across the board. In a variety of ways.
We need parents to not be stressed out about paying for diapers, and rent. We need parents to be able to afford to buy healthy food. We need babies that have moms at home for those first few years . We need that so badly.
On the other side of that coin, anyone can make it if they want to. Many people do. Despite horrible upbringings and extreme poverty.
I think my point was that if black people just acted like people and dropped that black culture thing, they would experience far less prejudice. I don’t think anyone , even other black people are going to react positively to a group of guys ( black or white ) looking like and talking like they’re from the worst parts of town. That’s just human nature. I don’t think President Obama is not gonna be a little uncomfortable if he saw a guy walking down the street with his pants to his knees. How about Bikers? When you see a white guy who is looking like he is associated with a dangerous aspect of our society, how will you react? The old lady , will again cross the street to avoid. Doesn’t matter so much about skin. It’s her sense of danger.
Take that same guy and put him in a business suit. ( black or white ) and the reception is going to be much different.
