I thought this was way over the top.

I actually wrote this whole big thing out, and decided to not post it. Because I didn’t want to offend you or rain on the parade.

Then I read the entire article and almost shit my pants.

All the people supporting this should be ashamed of themselves . Seriously.

Call yourself a feminist? Tell that to all the Muslim woman living in Yemen. Or Saudi Arabia. Iran. He women that have been tortured and beat and raped for not wearing hijabs.

Look in a little girls eyes living in Yemen and say it.

I am a woman and part Arabic so please don’t call me a bigot.

I noticed you used a lot of pro feminist langauge and were very respectful of the marginalized groups of people — trans , CIS, …. Type of words… So what part of killing trans people and gay people respects them? What part of islam respect trans and gays and women? To talk like a feminist and yet be Muslim, its …. Its ….. You should really study your religion more and tell me how using words like that make it any less different that your religion executes gay and trans people for being gay and trans …unless you’re on a campaign to change your religion, I don’t think being a Muslim is very congruent to being a feminist. Unless you think it’s ok for men to own you, and beat you. And be in charge of every aspect of your life ; even walking outside , and having no rights or laws to protect you, because you are seen as less than half a citizen till you die, is. ( but just my shitty opinion based on reading muhammeds words and the Islamic law based on them)

I grew up in Europe and it’s one of the most not racist places in the world.

You know, I love Europe. I really really do. I consider it home. We traveled a lot when I was a kid, but when I see pictures of it , or movies or commercials I get that feeling, like home.

Honestly , I have this war inside me.

One half of me doesn’t believe in borders. One half of me knows that land can’t be owned by man, not really. That this planet is no ones. That this land is free. One half of me respects all people and wants to love everyone and wishes we could all just be happy living together. All of it.

But then I have this other half. The other half that hears about the almost daily terrorist attacks that are happening all over Europe ( watch the news people) I hear about how some of my favorite places are living like they do in Israel, women having to wear rape alarms, and the Islamic prayers being blasted from speakers on top cars that drive slowly through European cities. The other half that hears about the neighborhoods where sharia law is being enforced. In the middle of Europe. The other half that hears about the knife attacks, the arson, the assassinations of any public figure that speaks out about Islam, the beheadings in department stores, the riots, the rapes, the child bride problems, the sexual assaults, the robberies, the honor killings. Don’t believe me? Look it all up.

And that other half that misses my Europe, missed that peace and that ability to visit a unique culture and country unlike any other in the world and get immersed in it. The food, the language , the dress, the buildings. The music, all of it, whispering its nationality everywhere.

We are losing that. These places that have had their culture there for thousands of years, cities built around ruins and old buildings. Cultures that have been almost untouched for so long, now at war with other cultures within their cultures… France is a great example. It’s probably the worst right now. Belgium another.

You know, if there were mass amounts of people to move to Saudi Arabia. And demand to walk around without a burka on, what would happen? What if I wanted to drive or walk without a male escort? Or wear a bikini? I would be arrested. I would be imprisoned, whipped. Depending on what I said or did , even executed.

Why? Because Islamic cultures want to preserve their cultures. And when you visit their countries ( if they even let you) you have to follow their laws. Or pay the consequences and no one can save you.

Is it really that big a deal when a country that isn’t Islamic does it too?

There is this hypocrisy with Islam.

They would execute us with no problems if we don’t follow their law in their land, but demand that we change ours for them.

France passed a law, outlawing the burka. Why? Because their country is in crisis, and has been for several years because of Islam. People are dying.

It’s because Islam is the antithesis of western culture. It is because Islam is absolutely not compatible with western culture. It is because you can’t have one and the other , just doesn’t work like that.

In fact I would argue that western countries have been working directly against everything that Islam stands for and is , for centuries.

While we fight and protested for rights like equality, free speech, freedom of religion, gay rights, women’s rights, you name it, even Childrens rights,

Islam has maintained the opposite value system , and morality.

The absence of human rights are the very foundations of Islam. Without Islams laws, that maintain a lack and even assault on individual rights, it would have died out long ago.

Because who believes that women are less than half a man? Or the property of men? Who believes you can’t question authority or religion, or philosophy, or anything you want? Who believes that words are illegal and can give someone the right to kill you? Who thinks you can’t change religions without being executed? Who thinks kids need to get married? Who thinks women can get a job or walk outside with a man’s permission? Who thinks that you have the right to kill your kid if they disobey you? Who thinks music is illegal? Dancing ? Who thinks lying is a good thing? A virtue? A great way to solve problems?

It’s funny… in America we have this ( bless their hearts ) younger generation and left leaning liberals that protest every form of inequality and police shooting people that shoot at them, and demand that we use inoffensive wording ( as you so aptly demonstrate ) and they are yelling from the rooftops not to discriminate against Islam too. Meanwhile, having no idea that supporting Islam is supporting everything they say they hate. Maybe some of them know that. It’s hard not to. Maybe it’s get worried that people will get their feelings hurt if we call them out on what they so proudly proclaim.?

Why is the truth offensive?

Oh but wait. Muslims don’t seem to agree that Islam doesn’t support human rights, or women’s rightS, or gay rights, or trans rights, or children’s rights, or equality, or freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of thinking … the Muslims are saying that it does!!! That we have Islam all wrong.

Which is in fact, a bold faced lie. That can easily be proven with sura. All of it. Everything. Because no one in the Middle East for example, does anything unless it’s in the Quran or the Hadith and sanctioned by muhammed. It’s like a communist country to the 10th power. You can get executed for making up your own rules.

I could go on… but everything Islam is , is not us. Is not what we’ve been fighting for, what we’ve aimed for, where we want to go….

So why can’t we say that when you come to our countries you abide our laws? Because I guess the Burkini is just as offensive to some of us as a bikini is to Muslims. For the same exact reasons. It’s everything we are not. It represents everything we don’t believe in or support. It is not something we want to see. Women thinking that their own bodies are so shameful or immodest that they can’t show them. That the female body is a sexual object and to show it means you’re a slut or immodest. Or shamed. Or dishonered.

Well then you throw in that freedom of religion thing.

We thought you believed in freedom of religion..

But what if your religion teaches hatred, teaches misogyny? Teaches domestic violence? Teaches pedophila? Teaches murder? Teaches stealing? Teaches superiority ? Teaches lying? Teaches no freedom in religion, or speech, or thinking? Teaches the exact opposite of everything we believe in? Teaches the exact opposite of our very laws?

Then it should be illegal if the world actually made sense.

That’s where we are. At an impasse.

Part of me thinks that Islam is such a strict and archaic religion that no one who practices it really has any business coming to a place that doesn’t. Why do you come to a country who is everything that you’ve been taught is wrong? That believes in and lives in a way that you’ve been taught is blasphemy? That you’ve been taught is an insult to you and your prophet? Why do that to yourself? Why not actually move to Saudi Arabia and please don’t tell me that SA practices some extreme form of Islam, if they do, then the Vatican also practices an extreme form of Catholicism. No, they practice Islam, and even Saudi Arabia doesn’t enforce the entirety of sharia law as it is written, no one does actually except for Isis. Isis is the only group that is actually practicing the Islamic law as it is written, exactly. With no changes.

That is the appeal of Isis. For the devoted Muslim, it’s the purest expression of what Muhammad intended and how he actually lived.

With some minor changes. Instead of stoning gays to death they throw them off buildings which was the first caliphs doing. Things like that. But still, considered the purest expression of how muhammad lived. That’s their whole shindig. To bring back the glory days of the first years of Islam.

But I wonder sometimes, if we are even going to have a Europe to visit in 50 years?

I don’t want to hurt anyone. I don’t dislike you because you’re a Muslim, that’s your choice. It’s hard to respect people that believe in the things that you do, because to me , some of it is just plain evil. I think that’s a universal thing.

Who could say that killing your kid isn’t evil? Or beating your wife? Or owning a sex slave? Or lying even? Or how about killing someone that leaves your religion? Or gays? Or women who have sex outside of their marriage , or who are raped ? That shit is evil. Killing someone for saying something or being an atheist is evil. . And please don’t tell me that that isn’t taught in Islam by the prophet himself. Yes it is. I’ve read it. I’ve read where he ordered it himself. Death to people that offended him. It’s also happening . Right now. Right this very minute there are gay people . There are bloggers or script writers. Or atheists waiting to be executed in a jail cell, next to women who didn’t want to cover themselves in some Islamic country.

So I don’t know… I think that the most peaceful solution is to seperate at this point. That’s what muhamemd said. Muslims are supposed to live by islamic law. He would kill you if you were alive and not following his law, do you realize that? What did he say about people who didn’t pray five times a day? He would lock them up in their houses and burn their entire family alive. Imagine what he would do to all these “moderate Muslims” running around. In fact I would argue that being a moderate Muslim is probably one of the worst insults to muhammed knowing how he felt about them, which he spoke of a lot. Calling them hypocrites.. A lot. He wanted them all dead if they didn’t repent and follow his law. He pretty much wanted everyone dead who didn’t. Unless they moved to an Islamic city , but then they have to pay a humiliation tax for not being Muslim, because you know, it’s humiliating not being a Muslim. . What he wanted was for the whole world to follow Islamic law and for the Muslims , to force them to, under threat of death. That is the only way the world will know peace actually. When we are all living under sharia law.

But that’s not gonna happen. Not now anyways. So why don’t all Muslims go and live under sharia law, if you don’t like sharia then you can’t like Islam. Sharia is Islam. Islam is sharia. There is no difference there. Unless you’re a Sufi.

But wouldn’t that be the solution that makes the most sense?

I’m thinking like long term peaceful solution. Muslims go to Islamic countries ( then you never have to worry about going to the beach in a Burkini again ) and is just staying here in bikinis and everyone is happy? We leave you guys alone and finally realize that you actually believe in this stuff and want to live like this and you leave us alone realizing finally that we actually believe this stuff and want to live this way? We don’t think you need rescuing and we stop being the heros that try to set up democracy’s,and you stop coming here for education and jobs and create them where you’re at.

Thats the only solution I think. It has nothing to do with racism either. It has to do with preventing a war and people dying and this world becoming a shit hole quick.

This religion is really changing and effecting the world right now, I’f you haven’t noticed.

I wonder sometimes if people do.

But the other thing that is effecting the world is the confusion about Islam. We all need to study it and get hip on it and we need to realize that the very things we think our modern day horror stories are exactly how you want it and what you believe in.

Probably not gonna happen though.

It needs to though, unfortunately . That’s where all this is going and pretty soon people are going to start to want to learn about Islam and then it is all over . No more lies and no more confusion.

I don’t want to offend you. I really don’t.

I guess I wouldn’t get mad at all if you were to say something like —

“ you think gay people should get married and women have equal rights and that children shouldn’t be able to get married and that telling the truth is a good thing and women aren’t sluts who dress in bikinis and that women don’t have to live at all with a man’s permission and that Jesus was a good guy and no one should get killed for deciding their an atheist or a Jew or a Christian. You think that dancing and music is ok and smart people do it and people should be able to express themselves in any way. “

And I hope you don’t either. Im perfectly serious.

This thing with Islam and the world it’s going to get ugly… more and more ugly, than it already has.

How people can blow off terrorist attacks that kill so many innocent people is beyond me. How they can ask me to. How they can say but I am not killing anyone !

No, but you’re also not going to the special heaven for the Muslims that do. You’re also not going to be a martyr. You’re also not loved the most by God.

This is your religion, whether you say it is or not. Teaching people that it’s not, is a lie. Trying to get people to go respect something that is everhthjng they don’t respect is hard, daunting even.

It’s almost insulting of you to ask in the first place .

It’s not about clothes. It’s just not. That is like saying communion is about crackers. No. This is so much bigger to everyone involved and I wish we could stop lying about that.
