DIY Grants (up to $1,000) For Innovative Educators

Innovative forward-thinking educators across the nation are eager to bring new project-based learning opportunities into their classrooms to empower their students with hands-on experiential learning relating to meaningful real-world challenges. The Allen Distinguished Educators (ADE) program is working to inspire, enable, and empower these educators through grants and educator resources.

Teachers can now bring innovative computer science, engineering and entrepreneurship projects into their classrooms with DIY Guides created by an ADE and DIY Grants to fund materials and project implementation. Educators across the nation are encouraged apply for a DIY Grant by December 4 at 11:59 p.m. (PT). The DIY Grants will fund materials for one of the four DIY Guides plus $200 to the teacher for their time adapting and implementing a new innovative project.

The purpose of the DIY Grants is to help us enhance the replicability of the DIY Guides as well as their adaptability to a range of school types, locations, and grade levels. We are looking for teachers who work in varied and diverse school environments and are interested in bringing more innovation to education.
