Weddings Cost Money For Everyone
Megan Reynolds

Last year two of my best friends got married and I knew I’d be traveling from New York to Georgia for both of their bachelorette parties, bridal showers, and weddings — plus buying gifts for each of those events, two bridesmaid dresses, and all the other little things that add up when you’re traveling and throwing parties for people.

I ended up creating a savings account six months in advance. It was a lifesaver, and was probably a good thing for our friendship, as it kept me from resenting them when I paid my credit card bill.
