Let’s Be Social

Firstly, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has liked, commented on and shared the Alnwick for Little Ones Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages so far. I really appreciate all of your support. As Alnwick for Little Ones has been active since August, I think it’s time to introduce myself properly and tell you the story behind this campaign….

I’m Laura and am Mammy to 16 month old Ruby.

I have lived in Alnwick all my life, apart from 3 years at university. However, I always knew that I’d like to raise my family in Alnwick if I could. Since having my daughter I really am seeing the town through new eyes, and I love it!

I’m currently on a mission to get to grips with everything that social media has to offer and part of that is running a community campaign.

From the beginning I knew that I wanted to focus on what’s available for young children in the area from groups and events, to retail and businesses.

Before I had Ruby, I really didn’t know ANYTHING about children as we didn’t have any little ones in our family and I was the first of my friends to have a baby. I quickly turned to social media for support, to see what was going on in this new world that I was now part of. Although there was some helpful stuff out there, I struggled to find it and sometimes had that feeling that I was missing out. So I thought it would be great to have a central point where all this information could be shared.

I also wanted to create a community on social media for anyone with a little one in their life.

I really hope that Alnwick for Little Ones is proving useful to you-whether you’re a new mum trying to figure out what to do with your little one or an experienced parent or grandparent just looking for some inspiration.

Please continue to share and tag your friends if there’s something you think they need to know about, and if there’s anything you think I should be sharing, please message me — I’d love to hear from you!
